Three generations, one copper kadai.
It started with a single shop opposite the Karaikal Ammaiyar temple and a small copper kadai that Grandfather Raghavan refused to retire. Seventy-three years later, we still cook in copper, still use the same jaggery supplier from Kumbakonam, and still close for an hour every afternoon — because some things you don't rush.
Today, the third generation runs the kitchens. The recipes haven't changed. Just the number of people we get to feed.
